Discussing Typesense Cloud Console Update and UI Layout

one thought: I initially missed the fact that I could use filters etc because they show up below the results and not above them

Thanks Gabe! One of the reasons we placed it below is so that once you land in that page, we didn’t want to make it look like you had to configure a bunch of things before you start searching. So moved it below to reduce the perception of complexity

makes sense that you want to keep it simple, but I think most are used to the query + options being close together for search experiences.

I like that idea, but on 2nd thought, I wonder if putting it behind a More options button would make it even easier for people to miss...

This is a UI for administrators/developers, so I am fine with the implementation. What we expose to end users is a different story.

Issues with Typesense Search Results and Upcoming Enhancements

Typesense Bug Fix with `canceled_at` Field and Upgrade Concerns

Mateo reported an issue regarding the treatment of an optional field by Typesense which was confirmed a bug by Jason. After trying an upgrade, an error arose. Jason explained the bug was due to a recent change and proceeded to downgrade their version. Future upgrade protocols were discussed.

Troubleshooting Typesense Document Import Error

Christopher had trouble importing 2.1M documents into Typesense due to memory errors. Jason clarified the system requirements, explaining the correlation between RAM and dataset size, and ways to tackle the issue. They both also discussed database-like query options.
