Nice to meet you, We are considering implementing “Typesense” into our service. So, we have a question. How many free instances with 0.5 RAM can be launched in conjunction with paid instances? We also plan to offer a free trial for the service we are deploying, and this may change the offerings based on the above information. Best regards.

The free tier is across all instances, for a total of 720 hours. So if you provision 1 instance, you'll get 720 hours If you provision 2 instances, you'll get 720 / 2 = 360 hours per instance, etc

Also, the free tier is not unlimited. It's 720 hours for the lifetime of the account.

So it's more like a trial, then a perpetual free tier

I see, thank you very much. I understand. So, how quickly does auto-scaling take effect?

Auto scaling requires a consistent breach of recommended thresholds for 12 hours continuously

So it’s not meant for spiky traffic, but more for gradual growth of data over a period of time
