As i am nearing the end of my testing phase and get ready for production deployment I am just wondering if there is a way to upgrade an existing single node cluster to a HA/ multi region cluster or if I have to provision a new one and backfill the documents?

But to enable multi-region SDN, you would have to provision a new cluster and reindex your data

Alternatively, you’ll find the option to schedule an upgrade under Cluster Configuration > Modify > Pick an Upgrade Window

06/05/2023, 7:11 PMMulti-region will help reduce latency by routing requests to the node that’s closest to the origin of the request. So multi-region has that upside compared to HA
