yeah, you could support nested object names - that would work - except it would be a bit hard to use as the Firebase GUI only has a small single line text field for exclude fields and this is already not the easiest when just top level properties - if we were going multi level then it would quickly scroll out of view and be clunky. Unless they allow you to pick a multi line textarea for its use ?
