Hi everyone, not sure if this has been discussed before. Do point me to a relevant discussion if it exists.
Was looking for an Algolia alternative since Algolia is turning out to be quite expensive for us. Is there a means of implementing Typesense on Wordpress (for a non techie) via a Plugin at the moment? The code I downloaded on github seems to be a version of the webdevstudios Algolia plugin, or does the same plugin need to be used for Typesense as well?

Someone with more knowledge can probably provide a better answer, but I'd guess that the plugin you found (this) will work.
I think Typesense has mostly been designed to be easy to switch to, for example also with the instantsearch adapter. Instantsearch is another Algolia initiative but typesense can be used with it via their own adapter.

@Prateek The wordpress plugin you found is indeed a fork of the Webdevstudios Algolia plugin. It requires some more work to get it to work with Typesense...

Thanks @Carl, that helps
@Jason Bosco - Would you know anybody who has used it already? Or any other possible way to implement Typesense on Wordpress that you know of?

@Prateek I do know one person who used it, and ran into an issue. I need to take a closer look at it to see what's going on. Would you be open to alpha testing it when it's fixed?

@Jason Bosco - I think wouldn't be able to test it on our website, however if there's someplace else the feature can be tested, then I'm open for it.

@Prateek is there a staging environment of your site that you can test it on? I essentially want to test it with some realistic data
